The players in the Volvo Masters Amateur Tour UK enjoy the opportunities of a lifetime with iconic Open Championship courses on the agenda before the national final at the venue for the 2010 Ryder Cup.

A British golfer is yet to win the Volvo Masters Amateur World Final, but could 2008 be the year?

A look at the iconic golf courses some will have played by the time they reach the World Final, Valderrama may hold few fears compared to the Old Course at St Andrews, Royal Birkdale, scene of Padraig Harrington's magnificent Open Championship defence and, for those who make it to the UK National Final, the 2010 Course at Celtic Manor, the course that will host the 2010 Ryder Cup between Europe and the USA awaits.

Add to the mix the New and Jubilee Courses at St Andrews, the home of golf, the Grove in Hertfordshire where none other than Tiger Woods won the WGC American Express Championship in 2006 and Sunningdale, where this year's Women's British Open is to be played and the challenges presented for the players in the 2008 Volvo Masters Amateur UK are considerable.

The Volvo Masters Amateur UK Final is played at the Celtic Manor Resort on 12^th and 13^th October 2008 with the World Final being staged in Spain, at Club de Golf Valderrama on Monday 3^rd November 2008.
